Summer of Eagle Projects!

We have had several Eagle projects completed this summer.  Michael Rodriguez, David Liew, Kevin Alexander and Amol Garg kept us all busy with their projects to benefit our community and beyond.

In June, Michael addressed a flooding issue on the Blue Jay Trail in Soaring Eagle park with the construction of a French drain and a gravel turnpike, helping the hikers, runners, bikers and horseback riders enjoy the trail without sloshing through a large mud lolly during the rainy season.

In July, David build a series of much-needed Wood Duck boxes along the Illahee Trail.

In August, Kevin  mapped out and painted an image of the United States onto the playground at Creekside elementary to make the playground both more fun and educational.

Also in August (picture to come), Amol created coloring books and packs of crayons to send to children in Uganda through a non-profit group, T.E.C.H. for the World.

Congratulations to our scouts for all of their hard work and for their progress toward their Eagle rank.  Thanks as well to all of the volunteers who came out in force to make these projects possible.
